Tyrone Ferguson (born 1955, Nassau, The Bahamas) is considered the premier artist-blacksmith of The Bahamas, having ample experience in metal fabrication and welding. Ferguson is known for his imaginative approach to functional items such as doors, gates, railing panels, furniture, chandeliers and signage, but also creates small and large scale figurative sculptures.
The artist has developed his own style of hammered, forged and sculptural work in iron, bronze, copper, stainless steel, aluminum and found materials. Though showcased primarily in The Bahamas, Ferguson’s work is featured internationally in Europe, Canada and the United States.
Ferguson has several large scale sculptures on exhibit on the grounds of New Providence Community Church, and he often collaborates with fellow Bahamian Antonius Roberts on sculptures and outdoor installations.
