Malcolm Rae (1941-2019) (born Southport, United Kingdom) was an artist and teacher. He was best known for his work in watercolor but he also worked with pastels, acrylics, mixed aqueous media and three dimensional objects, including ceramics. His paintings depict nostalgic scenes such as local landscape, seascape, plants, shells, and the female figure. The works are sensitively composed have an ethereal quality that sparkle and radiate light.
Rae was a founding member of Transforming Spaces and his studio ‘Stingrae Studios’ participated in the event for almost 10 years.
